Al Bassel Heart Institute

The institute was inaugurated in Damascus 1998 in Dummar Housing Area, a district of Damascus, on a land of 25.000m² and 17.000m² building facility, and it is one of the largest centers in the Middle East and the Mediterranean Countries. It is designed for the following purposes and aims:

1- Diagnosis and treatment of cardiac patients, medically, surgically or through angioplasty and stenting.

2- Preparing medical and paramedical staff for other cardiac centers attached to Al Bassel Heart Institute opening within the next years in other major cities in Syria. The first center has been inaugurated in Aleppo City in 2002 and is now in function.

3- Providing continuous medical education for medical staff.
